Top 10 Best-Selling Cars In Canada - October 2010

If it hadn't already done so, Honda Canada secured its long-held title as the manufacturer of Canada's best-selling car with two months left to go. Deals on the 2010 Honda Civic have been running fairly wild, given the nature of Honda Canada's so-called deals in years prior. This pushed Honda Civic sales up 26.9% in October 2010 at the same time its nearest competitor suffered declining sales of just 2925 Mazda 3s , down from 3657 in October 2009. Thus, the Civic's lead over the Mazda 3 going into November already stood at 6377 units.

Arranged in a more convenient form than it used to be, Canada's list of most popular cars features four vehicles which posted lower sales this October than in October 2009. There was a fair bit of shifting around compared with September 2010, too. Only the Civic, 2010 Hyundai Elantra, and Chevrolet's Cobalt/Cruze combo held on to their positions. The Toyota Corolla took over monthly #2 from Mazda; the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta shot up to #6, and the Toyota Matrix and Ford Fusion moved up despite falling sales.
