News wasn't so good among some of Canada's other favourite SUVs and crossovers. The Chevrolet Equinox, Dodge Journey, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Hyundai Santa Fe all posted a loss of sales when compared with the month prior. Automakers could justify a lack of concern, however. Among this Top 10 grouping of the best-selling SUVs in Canada, only the Equinox and RAV4 suffered a drop when May 2010 sales are compared with May 2009 sales.
As for the usual argument over whether these vehicles deserve to be considered SUVs..... most of them don't. But they need to be classified as something - trucks and cars they are not.
