MIDSIZE CAR SALES AND LARGE CAR SALES IN THE USA - JUNE 2010

subaru legacy
Pictured on the back of car magazines and praised by almost every reviewer, but the Suzuki Kizashi is not attracting buyers. Though not the best-selling midsize car by far, the Chevrolet Malibu out-sold the Suzuki Kizashi by more than 20,000 units in June 2010.

Subaru sales are climbing, indeed, Subaru is grabbing a larger slice of the market than ever before. It's worth noting, however, that combined sales of the Subaru Legacy and Subaru Outback rank 8th in U.S. midsize car sales, at least by GoodCarBadCar.net's definition. Buick needs to get some Regals to dealers in a hurry before this sub-350 unit thing becomes a tradition.

On the larger car side of the ledger, Buick is doing alright. Among big mainstream car sellers, Buick is the third most popular choice, with about two-thirds of customers rightly choosing the LaCrosse over the antiquated and unappealing Lucerne. Judging by the momentum at Hyundai and Kia, new big cars from these firms could actually put up decent numbers. Don't forget about sales of the Hyundai Genesis over in the Midsize Luxury Car Sales category.
