GUMPERT APOLLO - IN MOTION

Not many days ago it was revealed on GoodCarBadCar.net that evo magazine's laptimes around the recently altered Bedford Autodrome was dominated by...

Gumpert is the last name of a former Audi rally chief who, along with MTM's Roland Meyer, has developed a uniquely designed supercar that's available with up to 800 horsepower. Audi's 4.2L V8 was tuned and supercharged and placed inside a remarkably light body. The result? One lap around the West Circuit resulted in a time almost three seconds ahead of Porsche's Carrera GT, more than 4 seconds up on the Nissan GT-R, and 2 seconds better than the Ariel Atom.

For those still confused as to what the Gumper Apollo really is, watch it in motion. Follow this link to the manufacturer's website.
