Cruze volume in the above yearly tracking column only includes historical values for both of its predecessors, the Cobalt and Cavalier. The two month-by-month tables are Cruze only.

U.S. Cavalier sales can be seen as the whole part of 2002's volume and 2003's volume. 4959 of the Cavalier's 2004 sales were Cobalts. 18,960 of the Cobalt's 231,627 2005 sales were Cavaliers. 355 of the Cobalt's 211,804 sales were Cavaliers in 2006. 57 of the Cobalt's 200,677 2007 sales were Cavaliers. 2008 and 2009 U.S. totals are exclusively Cobalt. 2010 marked the beginning of the Cruze's reign with 24,495 U.S. sales. 856 of the Cruze's 12-month sales total in 2011 were Cobalts.

In Canada, 178 of the Cavalier's 2004 total sales were Cobalts. 7122 of the Cruze's 2005 volume was actually Cavalier-derived. There were four Cavaliers sold in 2006. 2007 was Cobalt only. 3184 of the Cobalt's 2010 sales were Cruzes. 360 Cobalts were sold in Canada in 2011, and one more in 2012.
