AUDI A6 WILL OFFER SIMPLE-TO-CLEAN ALLOY WHEELS FROM ALCOA

Somebody needs to take this Alcoa technology and apply it to toilets. Imagine if toilets cleaned with water; and water only?

Dura-Bright, a registered trademark of Alcoa, will be applied to Audi A6 wheels in this the 60th anniversary year of Alcoa. Aiding resale value and personal pride levels, the Dura-Bright stuff will make dirty wheels with peeling lacquer a thing of the past, at least on Audi A6s.

Click this link to watch an explanatory video at StrongWheels.com, an Alcoa site. Keep in mind, these wheels are forged, not cast, and thus weigh about 20% less; thereby reducing unsprung weight. Unsprung weight, oh Good Car Nation, is the arch-enemy of all vehicle dynamics engineers and the unknown enemy of girls across SoCal whose 17-year old boyfriend equipped his '94 Civic with 20" wheels and brakes to match.
