2008 HONDA ELEMENT RECALLED

Honda introduced the Element as a youthful alternative to the CR-V. Younger buyers may have liked it. Older buyers buy it. 241 owners of the model year 2008 Element are advised to stop driving their vehicle until it's been inspected at their Honda dealership. The problem is identified below, but if you think you're one of those 241 individuals, contact Honda this'a'way (1-800-999-1009). Honda started this Recall a while ago, so it's likely that you would have been contacted already.

"The front bushing bracket of the left trailing arm of the rear suspension may have been improperly welded and could separate from the trailing arm." That separation "could cause the suspension to release the lower portion of the wheel hub, causing a loss of control and damage to the brake system which could lead to a crash."
