Sales of the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain, along with their luxury counterpart from Cadillac, have been remarkably strong since their respective debuts late last year. That makes sense, right? Brand new designs in a higher quality era for General Motors must result in significantly great volume.... right?
Yes, that is right, but it doesn't help explain the strong sales of the Ford Escape. The Escape has been facelifted, tinkered with, touched up, and marketed with low prices for a long time. Regardless, the Ford Escape is pretty much the same vehicle it always has been. With a little help from the Mercury Mariner and Mazda Tribute, the Ford Escape forms the largest pie slice in the Graph below.
