FUEL ECONOMY IN CAR AND DRIVER APRIL 2010

A testament to the benefits and beauty of light weight, the Lotus Exige S 260 Sport finished near the top of the 0-60 standings in Car & Driver's April issue while also fitting in at the top of the fuel efficiency meter. To accelerate hard while still enjoying low costs at the pump is a wonderful balance; a balance struck by.... basically nobody else in 2010. It should be no surprise that Tesla chose the exact same foundation for its Roadster, a car which requires no gasoline at all. Lotus is ahead of the game in terms of modern material usage. Unfortunately, that's not reflected in sales of its models.
