NISSAN TITAN & ARMADA, INFINITI QX56 RECALLED

NHTSA has announced a Recall of its largest vehicles. One pickup, the Nissan Titan, its closed in relative, the Nissan Armada SUV, and the Armada's luxurious sibling, the Infiniti QX56, were built in model years 2005 and 2006 with ill-equipped air conditioners.

The fan motor is likely not properly sealed, and the water intrusion could lead to corrosion in the motor. Corrosion therein could result in overheating and, potentially, a fire.

180,664 Titans, Armadas, and QX56s fall under this recall notice. Dealers are instructed to install a thermal protection kit and replace the fan motor if necessary.
