July 2012 Top 30 Best-Selling Vehicles In Canada

2012 Dodge Grand Caravan red
Canada's 20 most popular vehicles accounted for just under half of all new vehicle sales in July 2012. The Ford F-Series alone was responsible for delivering to 7% of new vehicle owners last month. 16% of all new vehicle sales stemmed from Detroit's four leading full-size trucks: the F-Series, Ram, GMC Sierra, and declining Chevrolet Silverado.

Canada's best-selling car was the fifth-ranked Honda Civic, a compact sedan/coupe which trailed both Canada's best-selling minivan, the third-ranked Dodge Grand Caravan, and the leading SUV, Ford's Escape. Civic sales are vastly improved compared with last year's supply-limited totals, and despite a slim victory over the Hyundai Elantra in July 2012, the Honda's year-to-date lead now stands at 6723 units.
