TOP 10 BEST-SELLING AUTO BRANDS IN AMERICA FOR SEPTEMBER OF 2009

Subaru's brief adventure near the top of the heap in U.S. auto sales has come to an end. Although September was a successful month for Subaru (sales up 0.7%), that wasn't enough for the formerly niche Japanese automaker to remain amongst the Top 10 Best-Selling Auto Brands in America.

Pontiac was the only other brand in the group in August to fall out. Last month Pontiac sold 29,921 vehicles as stockpiles of the dying company depleted.
