7200 MAZDA 6'S FROM MODEL YEARS 2007-2008 RECALLED

A new Mazda 6 arrives and what do you get? NHTSA Recalls the old Mazda 6. 7,200 midsize Mazdas built with California Emissions specs in mind could suffer from a perforated fuel tank because, well, the protective coating might've been damaged when assembled.

Of course, nobody hates fuel leaks more than NHTSA. Except, I guess, the person who just paid $4.00/gallon and is losing fuel. Mazda was supposed to begin this recall yesterday, but if you're confused about your '07 or '08 Mazda 6 call them at 1-800-222-5500 option 2.
