Top 30 Best-Selling Vehicles In Canada - October 2011 - With Market Share Chart

2012 Volkswagen Golf grey
Five pickup trucks, fourteen cars, ten SUVs and/or crossovers, and one minivan form the 30 vehicles on October 2011's list of the 30 best-selling vehicles in Canada. The leader of the pack, Canada's best-selling vehicle, was down 7% in October but managed to hold on to victory by the skin of its teeth... er, 1564 units.

Canada's best-selling car, the Honda Civic, trailed the Ford F-Series by nearly 2000 sales in October. 1661 sales behind the Civic is the eighth-ranked Ford Escape, Canada's most popular SUV. And only 346 sales behind the Escape (but 8336 sales ahead of the Escape year-to-date) is the Dodge Grand Caravan, Canada's top selling minivan.

Links to other best seller posts can be seen at the bottom of this post. A simple scroll will also alert you to a market share pie chart which manifests the dominance of Canada's 20 most popular vehicles. Together, they're worth 49% of all new vehicle sales.

You also might be interested to know the overall rankings of some vehicles which missed the cut. In 37th was the Toyota Camry. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class ranks 40th. The second-ranked minivan, Honda's Odyssey, ranked 48th. The Chrysler 300 finished October 2011 in 60th. The Nissan Juke ranked 66th. The car parked at GCBC Towers for the next week or so, the 2012 Hyundai Veloster, was 69th. And the Chevrolet Orlando's 407 sales landed it in 74th.

The table listing October 2011's 30 best-selling vehicles in Canada, well, it's below. But you already know that, because it's the first thing you looked at.
