Partly because of GoodCarBadCar.net's former status as a potential Nissan Cube winner in the hypercube.ca competiton, The Good Car Guy has taken a special interest in the little Nissan's battle with the Kia Soul. In the CubeSoul section of GoodCarBadCar you can read comparisons of their interiors, exteriors, and performance along with a final verdict.
Added to the section now is this post, a complete look at at Canadian and U.S. sales of the Nissan Cube and Kia Soul over the course of the warm months: May, June, July, and August. Before judging the Cube too harshly for its year-to-date figures, remember that the Kia Soul was on sale for a few weeks in advance of the Cube's arrival in North America. In spite of the Cube's heavy online promotion in Canada, Americans are responding to the Nissan slightly better - though still not offering the reception provided to the Kia. Canadian sales of the Soul are scandalously strong. Meanwhile, Canadian Nissan dealers sold less than three Cubes per dealer in the month of August.
