Having spent quite a while reviewing regular vehicular introductions, it's high time GoodCarBadCar.net profiled something on the wrong side of the radar gun. Jaguar has thus kindly introduced the XF Police-Spec. Yes, it's a diesel. Yes, it's a terribly quick diesel. 271 horsepower helps propel the XF Diesel S to 60mph in fewer than six seconds.
In civilian form, the 3.0L twin-turbo diesel turns the XF into a £36,900 car. Sacrifice horsepower and you can have a diesel XF for $33,900. V8 models start at £49,900 in the UK. Surely, there must be less luxurious (and less handsome) vehicles available with police gear in jolly ol' England. Yet, I'd much prefer coming home from a trip abroad telling friends I was pulled over by a Jaguar XF than a Vauxhall Vectra.
