BENTLEY CONTINENTAL FLYING SPUR RECALL AFFECTS MIDDLE REAR SEAT PASSENGER

"There is the potential for the center rear seat belt upper guide bracket to distort in the event of a frontal impact. This distortion could result in the centre rear seat occupant traveling further forwards than the design intends."

How often is the centre rear seat of a Bentley Continental Flying Spur full? One would think rarely. However, were a frontal impact occur whilst the Flying Spur was carrying a passenger in the centre rear seat, it sounds as though NHTSA believes their head will reach halfway to the front seat. Which is, by the way, a very great distance.

27 incarnations of the 2009 Bentley Continental Flying Spur and Bentley Continental Flying Spur Speed will undergo a replacement of the seat belt guide bracket.
