BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX RESULTS

Scuderia Ferrari took control of the Formula 1 race in Bahrain earlier today and ended up with first (Felipe Massa) and second place finishes. Last year's world champion, Kimi Raikkonen, crossed the finish line 3.339 seconds after his teammate.

Ferrari engines powered the last place car and Sebastien Bourdais 14th-place car. Force India's Ferrari V8-powered cars of Giancarlo Fisichella and Adrian Sutil both completed the race, but 12th and 19th aren't overwhelmingly terrific results.
Robert Kubica and Nick Heidfeld drove their BMWs to the lower rung of the podium and 4th position. Not shabby.

McLaren-Mercedes star driver, Lewis Hamilton, was way back in 13th while his Finnish teammate managed a 5th place standing. The 8th and 14th finishing slots were taken by the Williams-Toyota drivers. Toyota's factory supported team collected 6th and 9th place spots.

Mark Webber drove his Red Bull-Renault to a better finish than two-time World Champ and factory Renault driver Fernando Alonso. 7th beats 10th. The other Red Bull-Renault, driven by veteran David Coulthard, managed 18th. Alonso's teammate had gearbox trouble and didn't finish.

That leaves the Hondas. Rubens Barichello raced to 11th but Jenson Button suffered an accident on the 19th lap and did not complete the race. The two Super Aguri-Hondas crossed the line in 16th and 17th positions.

BMW now leads the team standings; just one point ahead of Ferrari's 29 points. McLaren-Mercedes is another point back of the Italian team; Williams-Toyota has 10 points; Toyota itself has 8; Renault has collected 6; Red-Bull Renault four; and Scuderia Toro Ross just two. Honda, Force India, and Super Aguri have a combined total of zero points.
